  • Yes, we offer premium financing for policies of any size. Please contact your underwriter at Scottish American to learn more about our premium financing options. 

  • We work with an extremely responsive third party administrator, who pride themselves on resolving claims quickly and efficiently - taking the stress out of the process.

  • Yes, we offer the Contractors Guard program which can provide coverage to your subcontractors.

  • Contact your retail agent for a copy of your policy documents.

  • It depends - our rates take into account many factors, including your claims history. Your rate will depend on the unique characteristics of your account. 

  • Yes, you can ask your retail agent if they are appointed to Scottish American or send them our contact information so that they can get appointed to offer the program. 

  • Yes, we offer state-specific endorsements to make sure that your coverage is on par with the coverage expectations in your state. 

  • No, the blanket CG 2010 and CG2037 Additional Insured endorsements are included on your Contractors Guard policy at no additional cost. 

  • A Waiver of Subrogation is required in many construction contracts.  Subrogation allows your insurance company to take your place and assume your rights and responsibilities. By waiving subrogation, you waive the right of your insurance company to go after the party who is liable for a claim that has been paid out. 

  • Certain construction contracts require you to have a Primary and Noncontributory form in your insurance coverage. This form establishes that the contractor’s insurance will pay before other policies which could potentially cover the claim and without attempting to pursue contribution from other policies which could also be considered as primary.

  • Yes, you can get in touch with your retail agent to add a scheduled Additional Insured endorsement to your Contractors Guard policy at no additional charge.

    • Marine, Ocean Marine, Off-shore

    • Mines

    • Oil or Gas Fields
